Pet First Aid
The American Red Cross and the Humane Society of the United States offer this course to help pet owners. Pet First Aid teaches self-protection and pet-protection to avoid further harm, injury, or suffering during pet emergencies until veterinary care can be obtained. Instructor: Amie Combs

Woodworking 101
This is a beginning woodworking class designed to teach basic tool safety and woodworking skills. Choose from several projects depending on price and prior skill level. Pay class fee to Community Education at enrollment. After you check out the cool project options on the first night of class you will pay the instructor for materials. Project options include an end table (supply fee $50) or several smaller items such as wall shelf, key chain holder, or bird house (supply fee $25). The minimum age is 14.

Girls Day Out – Canton, Texas
We’re on the road again so mark your calendar for Friday and Saturday, April 4-5, 2008! The chartered bus will leave Friday morning and we’ll stop at the IKEA store in Frisco, Texas before spending Friday night in the Canton area. Shop all day on Saturday at Canton's "First Monday" and arrive home late Saturday night. Hotel prices depend on the number of roommates plus transportation. If you’ve never held a crochet hook or want to enhance your skills, this class is for you. Learn basic stitches and pattern reading.
